Kylis Winborne is a Baltimore based graphic and fine artist who has exhibited extensively both locally and nationally.
Encouraged early in life by family and friends to pursue his interests
in art, Kylis went on to graduate from the prestigious Maryland
Institute, College of Art. During the past decade he has been featured
in more than 25 exhibits, publications and television programs. His
unique and colorful work has been seen at Artscape, Maryland Institute
College of Arts, The U.S. Nigerian Embassy, EubieBake Cultural Center,
Villa Julie College and the St. James Jazz Extravaganza. His work has
been commissioned by the Baltimore City Murals Program and The U.S.
White House. He is a graduate of the Maryland Institute College of Art
and has been a graphic designer at WJZ TV for over 20 years.
Images produce by Kylis are characterized by intensely vibrant
colors, and boldness of form and structure. He receives inspiration for
his works from many common sources, transforming mundane images into
extraordinarily beautiful portrayals.
Kylis’s works have been displayed throughout North America often in
one-person exhibitions, and he has achieved international notoriety as
an artist.
